While they are working towards phasing out palm oil entirely, they have taken the best action possible to mitigate against the minimal usage.

Ere Perez supports the sustainable production of palm oil by purchasing credits that supports these practices. Ere Perez mascara contains sustainably sourced palm oil.

Ere Perez is a member of the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) and have approval to use their logo. This means that they have calculated the total amount of palm oil used in their formulations, including products where there may be possible palm oil derivatives, and they offset this with the purchase of RSPO certified credits. These credits incentivise the production of certified sustainable palm oil.

Is Ere Perez vegan?

While Ere Perez products are mostly vegan, some contain beeswax.

They are working towards becoming a fully vegan brand, but at present they do use beeswax in their tinted mascaras. It is important to note that Sassy Organics does not stock tinted mascaras. Instead, we stock Ere Pere avocado mascara, which is completely vegan.

Is Ere Perez cruelty free?

Ere Perez is one of true and genuine cruelty free makeup brands! The company prides itself on not testing its products on animals and never has. In fact, they are certified cruelty free by PETA and Choose Cruelty Free Australia.

They believe that the products you put on your skin should be safe for everyone - humans and animals alike. Because of this belief, they do not test their products on animals in any way.
