Luk Beautifood tints provide a sheer hint of light customisable coverage. They can be layered for additional light coverage but will remain sheer for a natural finish and skin that looks like real skin. 

Does Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ replace my foundation?

Yes. Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ replaces your foundation for a natural real skin look. For greater coverage, dust with your foundation mineral powder.

How is Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ different from solid coverage face products like foundation and concealer?

Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ is an all-in-one and a completely fresh approach to traditional solid coverage face products like foundation and concealer. Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ gives a real-skin lit from-within-look with a natural luminous finish and healthy glow. Its coverage is sheer, lightweight and customisable. And it improves your skin with every wear thanks to potent skincare actives. 

Foundation is typically solid to medium buildable coverage with a matte, ""pancake"" style look that hides skin and typically has an obvious line where your coverage ends and your real skin starts. Traditional foundation can be heavy, sits on skin and blocks pores and can cake and leave an obvious line. It also often contains synthetics. There are no skin care benefits. Concealer is used to cover spots and blemishes. It sits on top of the skin, is usually drying and cakes and flakes, making your blemishes more obvious as the day wears on.

How is Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ different from other sheer face products like tinted moisturiser and CC and BB creams?

Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ is an all-in-one and a completely fresh approach to other sheer face products, like tinted moisturiser and CC and BB creams. Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ gives a real skin lit from-within-look with a natural luminous finish and healthy glow. Its coverage is sheer, lightweight and customisable. And it improves your skin with every wear thanks to potent skincare actives. 

Tinted moisturiser is a moisturiser with a small amount of colour added. It offers minimal coverage so any imperfections will still show, is often greasy so even coverage is hard to achieve, and there are no skincare benefits. CC creams, or colour correcting creams, are lighter in texture than BB creams, and provide sheer to full coverage like a foundation. They were made to cover pigmented skin, redness and blemishes. They hide your skin, giving a more "pancake" look like foundation. It can be challenging to find your ideal shade so there is often an obvious line where your CC cream ends and your real skin starts. BB creams, beauty balm or blemish balm, give slightly more coverage than a tinted moisturiser, but with a limited selection of shades to choose from making it challenging to match your skin tone and usually leaving an obvious line. Some contain antioxidants, but there are still limited skincare benefits.

Our six debut shades suit most people from the fairest skin tones up to deeper, olive dusky brown skin tones. Our range will grow to meet our ever evolving customer needs.

How do I find my perfect shade?

Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ is a completely fresh approach to traditional “foundation” removing the frustrating search for your “perfect shade match”. Innovative mineral pigment technology adjusts each of the six nude shades to several skin tones. Glow skin tint balm is designed for you to have a couple of tube shades in your makeup kit at any one time to create a real skin, natural look across the seasons and occasion.

Does Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ contain SPF sun protection? 

No, there is no sun protection. Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ is designed for use over your existing sunscreen. We created this product to give a natural look. Sunscreen can cause a "flashback" effect when photos are taken, which does not happen with Luk Beautifood Instant Glow Tint.

Does Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™ replace my moisturiser?

It can, it really depends on your skin type and beauty routine. It contains potent nutrient active food complexes to feed, nourish and hydrate your skin. Olive derived squalane, macadamia nut and jojoba phytosterols plus avocado, vitamin E and shea butter help skin retain moisture and all day dewiness, and with antioxidant and vitamin C rich kakadu plum, rosehip and pomegranate, they help minimise fine lines and brighten the complexion. You can use it on bare skin or over your existing moisturiser and/or face oils and actives depending on your changing needs and your skin's sensitivity to layering products.

Is it scented?

Yes, it is lightly scented with the smallest (.005%) dilution of Luk Beautifood signature 100% natural active fragrance blend, a mood balancing signature scent. Notes of rose, coriander, citrus and aromatic botanicals create a beautiful uplifting aroma. In Luk Beautifood Instant Glow Tinted Complexion Balm™, it’s subtle and barely there for even the most sensitive.

What is blu-light protection and how does that work?
