Black Chicken Remedies founder, Chey Birch suffered from irritated skin and sinus issues but nothing she used healed the symptoms. It wasn’t till she saw a naturopath that Chey became learned just how many toxins she was unknowingly consuming from her everyday products. The ingredients in these products were almost always synthetic and dangerous for the skin.   

One day, in a little bowl with a black chicken painted on it, Chey began blending essential oils and therapeutic botanical extracts – looking to create a natural remedy for her condition. She used only the highest quality natural and organic ingredients and kept the formulas as oils, so that she didn’t need to add any preservatives or binding agents. After a while, her symptoms disappeared and friends began asking if she could bring ‘the black chicken’ to their homes. That little bowl with a chicken painted on it started her skincare company Black Chicken Remedies. From here, Black Chicken Axilla was born, Australia's first and original deodorant paste. Their range soon expanded to include a variety of other skin care products an tools including their best selling Tongue Cleaner.
